Ethnomethodology

Ethnomethodology is a perspective and research approach that focuses on understanding the ways people create and maintain the social order in their every day lives. This approach was developed by an American sociologist Harold Garfinkel in 1960s 
At this core ethnomethodology emphasizes the importance of examining the methods and practices individuals to use interpret and make sense of the world around them  it aims to uncover the implicit rules and norms that guide social interactions, often taken for granted by people in their daily lives. 
.ethnomethodology study various social situations and interactions to analyse how individuals use their shared knowledge and cultural background to produce social order and meaningful interactions. They often employ qualitative research methods, including participants observation and interviews to gain insight into the lived experiences and perspectives of individuals in specific social settings. 
In summary  ,ethnomethodology provides valuable insights into the intricate ways people construct and maintain the social reality they inhabit by examining their every day practices and methods of social interaction.

Sanskritization

 Introduction -This term was made popular by Indian sociologist MN Srinivas. Sanskritization is a particular form of social change found in India, it denotes the process by which caste or tribes placed lower in caste hierarchy seek upward mobility by emulating the rituals and practices of the upper or dominant castes.
